I made a STUPID move! Need help and advice!?

I have a friend. We've known each other for a year. I've always thought he was attractive. In fact he is the most attractive man I have ever met. There has been some serious flirting going on between the two of us for a while.. Mutual friends of ours thought that we were dating or having . We've been out drinking a few times and ended up sleeping over at each others places, which was his idea. Yet he never even made a move to kiss me. I never made a move either because he is a lot younger than me (32 vs 24) and I'm pretty sure a relationship would not work. Then he propositioned my best friend for . She obviously turned him down. I confronted him about it and we had a little falling out after that. I also overheard him on the phone with a friend and he said,"Are you going to share her with me like you did the other girl?" He doesn't know that I heard that though. But things are back to normal between the two of us now. A few nights ago, I send him a text message while I was a little tipsy. I said,"what are you doing? Wanna come over? I will make it worth your while. I'm serious." He said "what. Is that supposed to be ual. I'm studying." So he didn't come over. Which is probably a good thing, but I'm disappointed. I really do what to have with him! I think I will bring up the subject of the text messages and get a feel for where he stands. Maybe try to kiss him and see where that leads. I'm so confused! I don't know what to do! Doe anyone have any insight on this situation and could help me out? I need to talk this through with someone!
