Could the bible be telling everyone everything, while they fail to grasp the importants of the meaning given?

Why does the bible require interpretation? The fact that god's message as revealed in the bible is so obscured and open to interpretation - to the point god had to send himself to earth to clear things up a bit - suggest the bible is not inspired by a perfect god, but written by men for their own purposes. You can yse any mystical ancient religious vague text to say whatever you want it to, and the bible is no different.
